The Anti-Corruption Bureau has carried out fresh searches at premises linked to suspended Shamirpet tehsildar T. Sucharita in Telangana in connection with a disproportionate assets case, recovering properties and valuables estimated at more than ₹5 crore. Officials suspect that the market value of the seized assets could be several times higher than their documented value.
ACB Searches Linked to Suspended Officer
According to the report, the ACB conducted searches at locations linked to T. Sucharita, who is already in the custody of investigating agencies in another alleged bribery case. The action was taken as part of a renewed search operation into allegations of assets disproportionate to known sources of income.

The case has drawn attention because such cases are usually associated with male officials, while this search involved a woman officer. The ACB recovered cash, jewellery, vehicles, property documents and other assets during the operation.
The highlighted details in the report state that more than ₹5 crore worth of benami property was recovered, and officials suspect that the market value of the assets may be much higher than the documented value.
Land, Flats and Valuables Recovered
During the searches, the ACB reportedly seized documents related to 2.17 acres of agricultural land in Damarkunta village of Siddipet district, three luxury flats in Hyderabad and two plots in Keesara and Khanamet villages.
Officials also recovered ₹12 lakh in cash, around ₹38 lakh in bank balance, and gold and diamond jewellery worth about ₹1.20 crore. A Volkswagen car and a Hyundai Creta were also recovered from her residence.
The report said the legal process is continuing, and authorities are examining the present market value of all immovable assets recovered during the operation.
Further Legal Action Underway
The ACB is continuing its investigation into the properties and valuables recovered during the searches. The agency is expected to examine whether the assets were acquired through legal sources or through alleged misuse of official position.
The report said that the actual market value of the recovered assets may be many times higher than their documentary value. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation and verification of property and financial records.
The case has added to scrutiny over alleged corruption involving public officials in Telangana, with investigators continuing to examine the ownership, source and valuation of the assets linked to the suspended tehsildar.
