Biometric Mismatch Exposes Impersonation

The matter came to light during checking when a mismatch was found repeatedly in biometric verification, iris scans, and face matching. The center authorities deployed specialized digital check loops to prevent proxy configurations. On the basis of a written complaint by center administrator Prof Randhir Singh, a case was registered under Sections 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 7/13(3) and 8/13(5) of the strict UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-2024.

Arrests and Seizure of Documents

A police team led by SI Amarjeet Kumar of the Sarnath police station intercepted the suspects and arrested Raj Kumar Sah (31) and Deepak Kumar Jyeshthvant (30), both residents of the neighboring Ballia district. During physical inspections, the police recovered a forged Aadhaar card along with other original identification profiles. The recovered cash and documents included the original Aadhaar card, PAN card, a photocopy of the admit card, the second copy of the OMR answer sheet, and the question booklet. The police sent both cousins to jail after completing legal action.

Interrogation and Confession

During interrogation, Raj Kumar Sah admitted that he had attempted to take the exam in place of his cousin Deepak Kumar Jyeshthvant by preparing a forged Aadhaar card. He said the actual candidate was present outside the examination center to monitor the entry loop, following which Deepak Kumar was also quickly taken into custody by the police. Deepak Kumar admitted he had sent Raj Kumar Sah to take the exam in his place and that forged documents had been prepared related to the application. Local law enforcement branches have initiated a deep data match to see if the duo is connected to an organized interstate solvers gang operating across eastern Uttar Pradesh.
