The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau has carried out searches at multiple premises linked to Sunkari Narahari, Deputy Director of Survey and Land Records, Multi Zone-II, in a disproportionate assets case. Investigators said the operation uncovered a large portfolio of movable and immovable assets, including cash, bank deposits, fixed deposits, gold, silver, real estate documents and a luxury vehicle.
According to preliminary findings, the documented value of the detected assets has been estimated at about ₹13.05 crore. However, officials believe the actual market value of the immovable properties could exceed ₹150 crore, making the case one of the major asset-related inquiries in the state in recent years.

Properties Across Hyderabad, Rangareddy Under Scanner
During the searches, investigators recovered documents related to five open plots in Rangareddy district and 1.24 acres of agricultural land in Maheshwaram. Officials also traced a 2,500-square-foot apartment in a high-rise residential complex at Puppalaguda.
The inquiry further brought under scrutiny two flats measuring 1,860 square feet each in a high-rise development at Narsingi and another 1,377-square-foot apartment in Rajendranagar. Investigators also identified a G+3 building in TNGOs Colony in Gachibowli and a G+2 residential building in Chatrinaka.
According to preliminary findings, these properties are allegedly linked to the officer and his family members. Authorities are examining ownership documents, property records and financial papers to determine the source of funds used for acquiring the assets.
Cash, Gold and Deposits Recovered
The searches led to the recovery of approximately ₹1.54 crore in cash. Officials also detected bank deposits worth around ₹2.29 crore and fixed deposits valued at ₹5.04 crore.
Investigators found gold ornaments weighing nearly 1.3 kilograms and about 8 kilograms of silver during the operation. A luxury vehicle recovered from the premises has also been included in the case records.
The ACB has identified two bank lockers held in the name of Narahari’s wife. Officials said the lockers will be opened and examined as part of the continuing investigation, as they may contain additional valuables, documents or financial evidence relevant to the case.
Asset Trail, Funding Sources Being Examined
Investigators are now analysing seized documents, banking records, investment details and property-related papers. The inquiry is focused on verifying asset ownership patterns, funding sources and financial transactions connected to the officer and his family members.
Authorities are expected to examine whether the assets can be explained through known lawful sources of income. In disproportionate assets cases, investigators typically assess whether wealth accumulated by a public servant is substantially beyond declared and legitimate earnings.
The case has drawn attention because of the scale of the assets detected and the gap between documented value and estimated market valuation. With the examination of bank lockers and financial records still pending, the scope of the investigation may expand further in the coming days.
