Centre for Police Technology, Excellence Awards in Cyber Policing – International Women’s Day 2026, Women in Cyber Policing | Nominations Invited
On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March 2026), the Centre for Police Technology invites nominations for the Excellence Awards in Cyber Policing, celebrating outstanding women police officers who are transforming the landscape of digital law enforcement in India.
This special recognition honours women in uniform who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation, and measurable impact across critical domains such as cyber crime investigation, establishment of cyber lab initiatives, development of technology platforms for policing, pioneering policy initiatives, and significant contributions to digital forensics.
From dismantling organised online fraud networks and leading complex ransomware investigations to building state-of-the-art cyber forensic labs and driving technology-enabled policing frameworks, women officers are redefining how law enforcement responds to emerging digital threats. Their work not only strengthens investigative capabilities but also enhances institutional resilience and public trust in the digital ecosystem.
The awards aim to highlight path-breaking efforts in:
• Investigation of financial frauds, dark web crimes, child exploitation, and cyber terrorism
• Creation and modernization of cyber laboratories and forensic infrastructure
• Design and deployment of innovative policing technology platforms
• Contribution to cyber policy formulation and inter-agency coordination frameworks
• Advancements in digital evidence handling, forensic analytics, and courtroom readiness
Nominations are open for self-nomination or peer nomination. Media houses, senior officers, and institutions are encouraged to identify and recommend deserving candidates who have made impactful contributions in cyber policing.
