Four Members of Interstate ATM Fraud Gang Arrested
MAIHAR: In Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, police have finally apprehended four members of an organized gang involved in ATM card fraud. Among those arrested is the gang’s mastermind. The suspects were presented in court and have been remanded for further investigation. During the arrest, police seized a total of 31 ATM cards from various banks, Rs 8,160 in cash, a Pulsar vehicle used in the crime, and four mobile phones. The main accused, Sanskar Pawar, alias Bhaiyu, was also arrested.
Revelation of Two Cases:
Case 1: On August 30, Sangeeta Chaturvedi became a victim of ATM fraud when she went to withdraw money from a Union Bank ATM. A person present at the ATM swapped her card and withdrew Rs 25,000 from her bank account. A case was registered under crime number 444/24, section 318(4) BNS.
Case 2: On August 31, Ramkumar Prajapati was defrauded while withdrawing money from an HDFC ATM. An unknown person swapped his ATM card and withdrew Rs 25,000 from his account. A case was registered under crime number 445/24, section 318(4) BNS at Amarpatan police station.

Investigation:
Considering the challenging nature of these incidents, SP Sudhir Agrawal directed Inspector KP Tripathi and his team to initiate an investigation. Through CCTV footage, the suspects were identified. Based on bank footage and technical evidence, the vehicle used in the crime was traced, leading to the identification and arrest of the accused.

Accused Details: Dhaman Sahu , Sanskar Pawar alias Bhaiyu , Krishna Kumar Sahu alias Guddu, Ajay Sahu alias Aju
The accused have been involved in multiple ATM frauds and other criminal activities in various locations across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, and Assam.
