A major alleged attempt to compromise the Bihar Police Radio Wireless recruitment examination has been foiled by Gaya Police. Acting on confidential information, Rampur Police conducted a raid at KP Lodge located in Ganto Bigha area of the city and recovered a large number of suspicious documents, copies of question papers and personal records of candidates. Police said the recovered materials indicate a possible attempt to manipulate the examination process.
According to police officials, information was received on Wednesday that some individuals staying at KP Lodge were allegedly preparing to interfere with the Bihar Police Radio Wireless recruitment examination. Acting on the information, a police team conducted a raid at the lodge. When the suspects noticed the police action, they allegedly attempted to flee in a car. However, following police intervention, they abandoned the vehicle near the Delha-Karimganj bridge and escaped. Police seized the vehicle and carried out a detailed search of the lodge premises.
During the operation, police recovered 14 copies of question papers, government seals, certificates and several important documents from the lodge and the seized car. Investigators are examining the recovered material to determine the source of the question papers and the intended use of the documents.
Police said that original educational certificates, mark sheets, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, ATM cards, driving licences and blank cheques belonging to around 20 candidates were recovered from KP Lodge. A diary was also found during the search, which investigators suspect may contain important information related to the alleged network. Authorities are examining the diary and other documents to identify individuals connected with the operation.
The seized materials also include seals of the Bihar School Examination Board, stamps in the name of a Block Development Officer (BDO), and seals of several educational institutions. Police recovered seals linked to Anugrah College, Gaya College, Government Middle School Gorkati, AB Yadav College Bakraur and the Circle Office Konch, among others. The authenticity and possible misuse of these documents are being verified.
During the investigation, police also found two Aadhaar cards that allegedly contained discrepancies. Both cards reportedly carried different names and addresses but featured the photograph of the same individual. Police suspect that the documents may have been created using fraudulent identities and are investigating the possibility of a larger document forgery network.
According to Rampur Police, the seized car is registered in the name of Mohammad Dilshad Ahmed, a teacher at Kasmi High School. Police are investigating the alleged involvement of Dilshad Ahmed and Shivam Rai, a resident of Daurma village under Aanti Police Station area. Preliminary investigation suggests that Shivam Rai was staying at KP Lodge in Ganto Bigha and was allegedly operating the network from there.
Police are now examining whether the case involves an organised examination fraud syndicate or a larger group involved in manipulating recruitment examinations. Investigators are analysing the recovered documents, electronic evidence and financial records to identify other possible members of the network.
Gaya City SP Abhinav Kumar said that police action prevented the alleged attempt to disrupt the examination process at an early stage. He stated that the recovered materials provide initial indications of a possible conspiracy to influence the examination. Teams are conducting continuous raids to arrest the suspects who fled from the spot.
Police officials said that the exact scale of the alleged operation and the number of people involved will become clear only after the arrest and interrogation of the accused. Investigators are also trying to determine how the question papers and candidate documents were obtained and whether any other examinations were targeted by the group. The investigation is currently underway.
