Bengaluru | In a major crackdown on organised drug trafficking, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Bengaluru City Police have seized narcotics worth approximately ₹25.23 crore during coordinated raids across multiple parts of the city. A total of 17 accused, including three foreign nationals and eight individuals from other states, have been arrested.
According to the police, the operation was carried out by the CCB Narcotics Control Unit along with teams from RMC Yard, Subramanyanagar, Madiwala, Rajajinagar, Whitefield, Tilaknagar, Yeshwanthpur, and Indiranagar police stations.

During the raids, officials recovered 127.3 kg of ganja, 3.3 kg of hydroganja, 10.3 kg of MDMA, 300 e-cigarettes, 90 hookah flavour packs, 30 hookah pots, foreign cigarette packs, seven mobile phones, six two-wheelers, and one car.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused allegedly procured drugs at low prices from foreign nationals and suppliers based in other states before selling them at significantly higher prices in Bengaluru. Police said the network primarily targeted college students and the general public.
All the arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody. Investigators are now working to identify and apprehend the key suppliers and dismantle the wider drug trafficking network. Police said efforts are underway to trace absconding suspects, and further arrests are likely.
Officials stated that the operation forms part of an ongoing campaign to dismantle organised drug syndicates operating in the city. Forensic examination of seized electronic devices, mobile phones, and other digital evidence is also underway to identify additional members of the network.
Experts note that drug trafficking networks are increasingly relying on digital communication channels and well-organised supply chains to distribute narcotics among young people. Investigators are therefore closely examining financial transactions, communication records, and possible interstate and international links connected to the racket.
The NCB and Bengaluru Police said the investigation is continuing, with efforts focused on tracing the kingpins behind the supply chain and dismantling the entire distribution network.
