Police said investigators traced financial transactions allegedly linked to the accused and estimated that illegal operations connected to the case involved nearly ₹2.5 crore. Authorities are examining whether cryptocurrency, digital wallets, or online payment gateways were used to route funds and conceal the financial trail.
Officials also alleged that multiple online accounts and communication channels may have been used to distribute restricted material and manage payments linked to the operation.
Cybercrime and Child Protection Agencies Involved
The investigation reportedly involves cybercrime units and agencies focused on online child protection. Authorities said digital forensic experts are analyzing recovered devices, cloud data, and online communication records to determine the full scope of the alleged operation.
Officials reiterated that the circulation, possession, or sharing of child sexual abuse material is a serious criminal offence under Indian law and international child protection regulations.
Authorities Warn Against Online Exploitation Networks
Law enforcement agencies have repeatedly warned about the increasing use of encrypted platforms, anonymous payment systems, and hidden online groups for illegal exploitation-related activities. Cybercrime officials urged citizens to immediately report suspicious online behaviour involving minors through official cybercrime reporting mechanisms.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and further legal action may follow based on the digital evidence recovered during the probe.
