A gripping tale of fraud and deception has unfolded at Izzatnagar police station, where a case was filed against several individuals, including Arpit Agarwal, the owner of Hanuman Rice Mill from Pilibhit’s Dorilal locality, and Nitendra Nath Mishra, son of a prominent pharmaceutical businessman, Raghvendra Nath Mishra, from Pilibhit’s Keshri Singh area.
Alongside them, Purushottam Gangwar from Shahjahanpur’s D Double Story Factory Estate, Ankur Kumar Jaiswar from Bisalpur in Pilibhit, and others like Rajkumar, Omprakash, Nanhe Ahmad from Karmapur Chaudhary, Narveer Verma from Shahi, Khwajauddin, Bablu Kashyap, and Raju alias Rajveer were named in a case involving charges of cheating, forgery, and more. The accusations stem from a shady land deal where the group allegedly presented a fake agreement, replacing the deceased Santosh Kumar Tandon with an imposter to pull off their scheme.
The Twist of Deception
In a shocking turn of events, the police have given a clean chit to the masterminds of this fraud, Arpit Agarwal and Nitendra Nath Mishra, despite their deep involvement. To dodge accountability, the duo cleverly filed a counter FIR at Izzatnagar police station, positioning themselves as complainants.
Not stopping there, they escalated the matter to the High Court, seeking to quash the case against them. However, the High Court refused to dismiss the charges but granted them bail until the chargesheet was filed in court. Seizing this window, the accused allegedly colluded with the police to have their names removed from the case, even though evidence like receipts and forged agreements clearly points to their equal partnership in the scam.
Recent Developments
The plot thickened when, under the orders of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), a fresh case was registered at Izzatnagar police station against Arpit Agarwal and others, including Santosh Tandon (the supposed victim), Bablu Kashyap, Khwajauddin, Nanhe Ahmad, Narveer Verma, Ankur Jaiswar, Purushottam Gangwar, and Rajkumar.
Arpit Agarwal claims he had secured an agreement for the disputed land in his favor but admits he lacked full clarity about its ownership. He alleges that Bablu Kashyap from Mathurapur, Khwajauddin from Tilwapur in CB Ganj, Nanhe Ahmad from Karmapur Chaudhary, Narveer Verma from Dhanelli in Shahi, Ankur Jaiswar and Rajkumar from Bisalpur, and Purushottam Gangwar from Shahjahanpur approached him with the deal.
According to the rice mill owner, these individuals introduced him to the so-called Santosh Tandon, convincing him of the land’s legitimacy and preparing the fraudulent paperwork.
Police Action and Unresolved Questions
The police have now submitted a chargesheet to the court against all the accused in the rice miller’s case, signaling a step toward justice. However, the earlier decision to exonerate Arpit Agarwal and Nitendra Nath Mishra raises eyebrows.
How did the key players manage to slip through the cracks despite overwhelming evidence? Was this a case of clever manipulation or a lapse in the system?
As the legal battle continues, this saga of forged agreements, impersonation, and alleged police complicity keeps the spotlight on the murky underbelly of land disputes and the lengths some will go to protect their interests.
