In a major crackdown against land mafia operating within the region, the Noida Authority executed a large-scale anti-encroachment drive in Ilabas village on Wednesday, reclaiming approximately 40 acres of notified government land. The operation, conducted by the team from Work Circle 7, successfully dismantled an illegal residential colony that was being unauthoritatively carved out and plotted by land grabbers. Following the demolition, authority officials formally submitted a complaint to the police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the perpetrators.
The stern administrative intervention follows strict directions issued by Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Krishna Karunesh to protect public property and eliminate illegal constructions across the city’s notified zones. Officials emphasized that unauthorized plotting activities not only grab public assets but also severely hamper planned urban development and infrastructure expansion across the sector. Backed by Noida Authority police personnel and senior administrative officers, demolition squads used heavy machinery to raze temporary and permanent boundary structures erected by the mafia.
Target Khasra Numbers and Operational Execution
According to Dori Lal Verma, Senior Manager of Work Circle 7, the anti-encroachment drive specifically targeted several designated land parcels in Ilabas village. The illegal developments were spread across Khasra numbers 373, 374, 375, 376, 384, 385, 387, 388, 389, 390, 391, 410, and 412. Land grabbers had installed boundary walls, entrance gates, and temporary sanitation blocks to project legitimacy and lure unsuspecting buyers into purchasing unauthorized plots.
Prior to the demolition, technical teams conducted detailed site inspections to verify land records and confirm the extent of the illegal occupation. Once the encroachments were verified as unauthorized constructions on notified authority land, heavy earthmovers were deployed under heavy security cover. The entire operation was completed within hours, fully clearing the 40-acre tract and restoring the public property to the jurisdiction of the Noida Authority.
Police Complaint Filed and Zero-Tolerance Mandate
To ensure strict legal accountability, the Noida Authority submitted an official complaint (tehrir) to the Sector-142 Police Station against the individuals and entities involved in the illegal plotting scheme. Law enforcement authorities have initiated preliminary proceedings to register an FIR under relevant sections of the law governing public property damage and land grabbing. Authority officials noted that criminal charges serve as a vital deterrent against repeat offenders who attempt to rebuild structures on cleared sites.
Reiterating its commitment to safeguarding public resources, the Noida Authority issued a stern public warning against unauthorized construction and land encroachment. Officials cautioned prospective homebuyers and investors against purchasing plots in unapproved colonies or notified government zones without verifying land titles with the authority’s land department.
