Despite being arrested twice, Gupta managed to evade the police, continuing his illicit activities. His video from March, predicting the NEET-UG paper leak, went viral, raising concerns about the exam’s integrity. Gupta also named key NEET accused Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is currently on the run, and Vishal Chaurasia, who has been recently arrested.

Gupta’s involvement in the 2023 Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) exam paper leak case, as well as similar incidents in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, point to his deep-rooted connections in the paper leak network. With 24 years in the ‘business’, Gupta emphasized the importance of networking in sustaining such operations.

During the sting, Gupta bluntly summed up the operations: “Jail jayenge, phir bail, aur phir shuru hoga khel” (There’s jail followed by bail, and the game goes on).
