A massive financial scam promising lucrative investment opportunities in a Dubai-based enterprise has unraveled across western Uttar Pradesh, leaving hundreds of investors facing estimated losses exceeding ₹210 crore. Tensions escalated sharply in Meerut on Monday when dozens of angry victims from neighboring districts converged on the residence of a key agent, demanding the immediate return of their life savings. The swelling crowd created an uproar outside the suspect’s home in the Lisari Gate locality, prompting emergency police deployment to stabilize the neighborhood and prevent violence.
Mob Swarms Agent’s Residence in Lisari Gate
The public confrontation began in the Shyam Nagar area of Lisari Gate, Meerut, where aggrieved investors from Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, and adjoining regions surrounded the house of Suhail, an alleged local agent for the investment network. Protesters alleged that Suhail had acted as a primary liaison, persuading local residents to invest heavily in an entity operating under the name QFX with promises of establishing a profitable Dubai-based commercial venture.
As news of the gathering spread, representatives from local activist groups, including the Bharatiya Kisan Union and Kisan Sena, arrived at the scene to support the investors. Police forces quickly cordoned off the street to manage the demonstration and disperse the crowd. Officials confirmed that while the protest occurred within Meerut jurisdiction, the criminal conspiracy and primary legal filings are anchored in Muzaffarnagar.
The QFX Dubai Investment Illusion
Investigative details indicate that the syndicate lured victims by offering unusually high monthly returns on capital allocated toward setting up an international business in Dubai. According to victim statements, network recruiters approached investors individually, presenting formal business plans and assured profit-sharing models. Relying on these assurances, numerous individuals liquidated personal savings, sold assets, or borrowed funds to participate in the scheme.
One victim, Qamar, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, reported losing approximately ₹50 lakh after being approached a year ago by the alleged mastermind, Lavish Chaudhary, alongside Suhail. Qamar was assured that his funds would directly capitalize the Dubai expansion of QFX and yield steady dividend payouts. However, expected returns never materialized, and requests for capital retrieval were met with evasive promises until the operators abruptly severed communications.
Multi-District Footprint and Primary Accused
The reach of the fraudulent network extends far beyond a localized group. Dozens of investors across multiple districts in western Uttar Pradesh have come forward with similar allegations. Among the victims are Ghaziabad residents Riyaz, Shahnawaz, Rizwan, Rehan, and Nadeem, who collectively transferred substantial sums after being promised equity shares in the Dubai operations.
Investigators have identified Lavish Chaudhary as the principal mastermind behind the QFX network, with Suhail functioning as a regional recruiter responsible for collecting funds and managing investor relations across Meerut and surrounding districts. As complaints mounted, victims realized that no legitimate commercial entity had been established in Dubai under the QFX name, exposing the entire structure as a multi-tier investment trap.
₹210 Crore FIR, Interpol Notice, and Financial Probe
A comprehensive criminal case alleging a fraud of ₹210 crore has been registered at the Khalapar police station in Muzaffarnagar against Lavish Chaudhary and his associates. Law enforcement officials indicate that the total swindled amount may surpass the initial ₹210 crore estimate as additional victims lodge formal complaints. Authorities have also initiated steps to track Chaudhary’s international movements, with reports indicating that an Interpol notice has been requested to prevent his escape or facilitate his extradition.
Circle Officer Kotwali Sangram Singh confirmed that specialized financial crime units are scrutinizing bank transaction logs, digital records, and call detail records associated with the suspects. Investigators are tracing the movement of funds from primary investor accounts to downstream secondary accounts to identify ultimate beneficiaries and freeze remaining assets.
