One of the most significant announcements was the launch of the Kerala Police’s AI-enabled Security Operations Centre (SOC). In its first phase, the centre will focus on securing computers and critical infrastructure at the police headquarters, city commissionerates, and affiliated stations. The initiative aims to strengthen digital security and improve cybercrime monitoring. Developed in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the SOC will be overseen by IG Cyber Operations. A senior official associated with the project called it a landmark achievement, highlighting that Kerala is the first state in India to establish such a cybersecurity centre, a crucial move as law enforcement agencies are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals.
