Police in Punjab’s Firozpur district have registered a criminal case against an employee of a private firm for allegedly operating a parallel online trading portal and siphoning off nearly ₹50 lakh in vehicle-sale proceeds. The accused, identified as Pankaj Kumar, had been employed for three years at Krombuzz Rackle Private Limited in Talwandi Bhai before company management uncovered the unauthorized off-the-books transactions.

Unauthorized Parallel Trading Platform

The matter came to light following a formal complaint lodged by company director Sanjay Moga. According to police filings, Kumar leveraged his inside knowledge of the firm’s automotive trading operations and client databases to establish an independent digital trading portal without management knowledge or approval. The illicit platform was designed to closely mimic Krombuzz Rackle’s official operations and commercial branding.

Using this unauthorized system, Kumar allegedly conducted high-value vehicle transactions completely separate from the company’s official ledgers. Preliminary audits indicate he brokered the purchase of approximately 30 vehicles from individual sellers and subsequently resold them to buyers, effectively diverting routine commercial volume away from the company’s authorized channels.

Diversion of ₹50 Lakh via Multiple Accounts

Under standard corporate procedures, proceeds from all vehicle sales were required to be deposited directly into Krombuzz Rackle’s designated corporate bank account. Instead, Kumar allegedly directed buyers to deposit payments into multiple personal and third-party bank accounts.

Investigators estimate that nearly ₹50 lakh generated from the sale of the 30 vehicles was routed across these external bank accounts before being rapidly withdrawn in cash. Management discovered the fraud after routine financial reconciliations revealed that expected receivables from completed vehicle deliveries were missing from the company’s primary accounts.

Comprehensive Financial and Digital Audit

Firozpur police have initiated a technical probe to map the complete transaction trail and establish the operational structure of the parallel portal. Investigators are verifying vehicle ownership transfers, buyer and seller payment logs, digital communication records, and domain ownership details linked to the fake trading application.

A key focus of the active probe centers on auditing the bank accounts used to receive and layer the ₹50 lakh in diverted funds. Police are examining whether the account holders functioned as conscious accomplices or unwitting mules, while tracking cash withdrawal patterns. Statements from vehicle buyers and sellers are also being recorded to determine if official documents were falsified during the unauthorized transactions.
