Ambedkar Nagar: Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar district have busted an alleged interstate human trafficking racket, arrested seven accused, including an alleged female kingpin, and rescued an abducted woman from Azamgarh. Seven Accused Arrested In Joint Operation
According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Babulal, Narendra Kumar, Mohanlal, Biraram, Chandrakala alias Poonam, Nasruddin and Usha.

Four of the accused are residents of Pali and Sirohi districts in Rajasthan, while the others are from Ambedkar Nagar and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Police said the arrests were made during a joint operation based on specific intelligence. Teams from Akbarpur Police, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, SWAT and the Surveillance Unit intercepted the accused near Tata Motors on Baskhari Road at Khiddidarpur.
Women Allegedly Lured With Marriage Promises
The rescued woman is being produced before the competent authorities, and further legal procedures are being completed before she is reunited with her family.
During the preliminary investigation, police alleged that the racket targeted women from poor and vulnerable families by promising marriage before transporting them to Rajasthan and Haryana.
Investigators allege that the women were later forced into commercial sexual exploitation. Police are examining the allegations and collecting evidence to establish the full extent of the offences.
Interstate Network Under Investigation
According to the investigating agency, Usha, a resident of Jalalpur in Ambedkar Nagar, allegedly coordinated the interstate network.
Police claim she managed the operation while other members identified and persuaded potential victims across different districts and states.
Commenting on such cases, the Future Crime Research Foundation said organised human trafficking networks frequently exploit socially and economically vulnerable individuals by using false promises of marriage, employment or a better future.
The organisation noted that coordinated interstate investigations, financial analysis and digital evidence are often critical in dismantling such criminal networks.
Police are continuing efforts to identify other alleged members, associates and facilitators linked to the network. Investigators are examining digital devices, call records, financial transactions and other evidence to determine the full scope of the alleged interstate operation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said further legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the probe.
