Greater Noida: Bennett University in Greater Noida has again come under scrutiny after a video showing a violent clash between two groups of students inside the campus canteen went viral on social media. The fight reportedly broke out during lunch hours, when a large number of students were present in the canteen. The incident has raised questions over campus discipline and security arrangements at the private university.

Canteen Dispute Turns Violent During Lunch
According to the report, the incident took place in the university canteen during lunch time, when students were eating and the campus atmosphere was normal. A dispute between students from two groups allegedly began over a minor issue before quickly escalating into aggression.
Eyewitness accounts cited in the report suggest that the argument, initially limited to verbal exchanges, soon turned into a physical confrontation. Students from both groups allegedly began pushing, punching and kicking each other, creating chaos inside the canteen. Several students present at the spot were seen recording videos of the incident.
Security Staff Unable to Control Clash Immediately
The viral video reportedly shows security guards and staff attempting to stop the fight, but they were unable to bring the situation under control immediately as both groups continued to clash. For some time, the canteen remained tense as students from both sides allegedly attacked each other.
The report says other students later intervened and separated the two groups, after which the matter was brought under control. Some students from both sides reportedly sustained injuries during the clash. The video has since circulated widely on social media, leading several users to question discipline and security inside the campus.
University Begins Inquiry, Action Expected
The university administration has taken cognisance of the incident and is examining the viral video to identify students involved in the clash. According to the report, disciplinary action is expected after the inquiry is completed.
