On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, the Centre for Police Technology (CPT) has announced the recognition of 33 Outstanding Women Cyber Cops from across the country for their exceptional contribution in strengthening India’s cyber policing ecosystem.

These officers are being honoured for their dedicated work in cyber crime investigation, prevention and detection, digital forensics, cyber training initiatives, cyber lab infrastructure development, and cyber crime awareness among the public. Through their relentless efforts on the ground, these officers have significantly contributed to safeguarding citizens in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The initiative by the Centre for Police Technology aims to bring recognition to frontline cyber policing practitioners whose contributions often remain under-acknowledged. Many of these officers work tirelessly in technical and investigative roles, yet their efforts seldom receive the visibility they deserve. By honouring them, CPT seeks to highlight the role of women professionals who are actively combating cyber criminals and strengthening India’s digital security framework.

“These women officers are the true frontline defenders of the digital domain. They are the unsung heroines who are working relentlessly to investigate cyber crimes, build cyber capabilities, and spread cyber awareness among citizens,” said Prof. Triveni Singh, former IPS officer and Chair & Chief Mentor of the Future Crime Research Foundation, who served as the Chief of the Jury Panel for the awards.

The selection process for the awards was conducted through a multi-source evaluation framework. The jury considered media reports, social media presence, peer reviews, self-nominations, documented initiatives, and field feedback from officers and senior leadership while identifying the awardees.

The selected 33 Women Cyber Cops will be honoured with a Certificate of Honour by the Centre for Police Technology in recognition of their outstanding service and contribution to strengthening cyber crime investigation and digital policing in India.

Through this initiative, the Centre for Police Technology reiterates its commitment to recognising grassroots innovation and excellence in cyber policing, while inspiring more women officers to take leadership roles in tackling the challenges of cyber crime and securing Digital India.
