According to officials, the accused were linked to 754 cybercrime cases registered across the country. Those arrested include 17 agents and seven women, while 58 were identified as “mule account holders” who facilitated the movement of illicit funds through various bank accounts.

During the raids, the bureau seized 84 mobile phones, 101 SIM cards, 89 bank passbooks, and multiple cheque books. Authorities also froze several bank accounts containing crores of rupees, which will be returned to the victims after verification.

Officials described the operation as a significant step toward dismantling organized cybercrime networks that have been operating across states. TGCSB noted that such fraud rings are becoming increasingly sophisticated, exploiting digital payment systems and social engineering tactics to defraud citizens.

The bureau emphasized that this crackdown aligns with broader state and national efforts to strengthen financial cybersecurity and protect consumers from digital fraud.
