Jaipur: In a shocking revelation, a father has allegedly exploited his two daughters to form a ‘Looteri Dulhan’ gang, duping grooms’ families of lakhs of rupees and gold jewelry. The daughters, along with their mother and brother, reportedly collaborated in orchestrating multiple fraudulent weddings and engagements to amass wealth.

Bhagat Singh, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had moved to Jaipur in 2019 to escape mounting debts. Soon after, he began using his daughters as tools to extract money from grooms’ families through sham marriages.

First Wedding Loot: Daughter Used as a Pawn
In 2019, Kajal’s first wedding took place in Kulhadiyawas, Jaipur with Ashok Garhwal. Allegedly, the family extorted lakhs of rupees under the pretext of wedding expenses. Within months, Bhagat Singh and his wife returned to the bride’s in-laws, collecting jewelry and cash, aided by the daughter herself.
Second Wedding and Engagement Scam: Entire Family in Collusion
The gang allegedly continued the spree:
- 2021: Engagement of a daughter in Jaipur, extracting lakhs from the groom’s family.
- 2021: Kajal’s second wedding in Damodarpura Bassi, Jaipur, again defrauding the groom’s family.
- 2024: In Dataramgarh, Sikar, both daughters’ weddings allegedly led to ₹11 lakh extorted, after which the family fled within two days with jewelry and cash.
Police Uncover Looteri Dulhan Gang; Key Members Arrested
- The victims filed complaints with Dataramgarh police on November 26, 2024.
- December 18, 2024: Arrests of Bhagat Singh and Saroj Singh in Govardhan, Mathura.
- Six months later: Daughter Tamanna apprehended from Mathura.
- Daughter Kajal and the son remain at large; Kajal was later arrested in Gurgaon Sector-17 and produced in Sikar court.
During interrogation, Kajal revealed she had developed a relationship with a friend’s husband while staying in Gurgaon, highlighting the deceitful network operated by the gang.
