After successfully conducting the CCMP program with CERT-In and the CDPO certification with over 500 participants, FCRF now turns its focus to Cyber Law with the launch of the CCLP program.

FCRF Launches CCLP Program to Train India’s Next Generation of Cyber Law Practitioners

India’s rapid digitization has generated both opportunity and risk. With billions of digital transactions and personal data flows each day, the demand for legal practitioners who understand technology has never been greater. The Certified Cyber Law Practitioner (CCLP) program, launched by the Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF), steps into this void.

Spanning four weeks, the program covers India’s Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the new criminal law codes — Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). The aim is straightforward but ambitious: to train lawyers, compliance officers, regulators, investigators, and students to navigate legal complexities in an age where cybercrime, privacy, and digital evidence converge.

FCRF: Building National Capacity in Tech-Enabled Law

The program is organized by FCRF Academy, the educational arm of the Future Crime Research Foundation — a body that has become synonymous with cybercrime capacity building in India. Best known as the organizer of the FutureCrime Summit, India’s largest conference on tech-enabled crime, FCRF has built partnerships that extend deep into India’s legal, academic, and enforcement institutions.

Over the last two years, FCRF has signed MoUs with BIRD Lucknow (NABARD), RMLNLU, and UPSIFS, signaling its commitment to bridging the gap between law enforcement, academia, and policy. “CCLP is not just about technology; it’s about governance, accountability, and the future of justice,” says Professor Triveni Singh, FCRF’s Chief Mentor and a former IPS officer.

A Track Record of Flagship Programs (CCMP Certification with CERT-In)

The CCLP builds on FCRF’s growing portfolio of specialized training. Earlier this year, the Foundation delivered the Certified Cyber Crisis Management Professional (CCMP) program in partnership with CERT-In, training over 500 senior officials from civil services, defense, cybersecurity, and regulatory bodies on crisis response and national resilience.

Earlier this year, FCRF concluded its Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) course, also with over 500 participants, which dissected India’s new data protection regime and its practical implications for compliance, governance, and industry.

“Each program has not just been about knowledge transfer,” explains an FCRF coordinator, “but about creating a professional community that can handle the emerging legal and technical questions of our digital future.”

CCLP: Curriculum and Community

The CCLP curriculum spans 16 modules, from digital evidence and electronic signatures to cross-border data transfers and regulatory compliance frameworks. Sessions are delivered live on weekends by leading cyber law practitioners, advocates, professors and forensics experts, with recordings and handouts made available on the FCRF Academy LMS within hours.

The program is designed for a diverse audience: CISOs and GRC leaders, legal and compliance practitioners, and students or professionals transitioning into privacy and cyber law. By offering a structured pathway, the certification intends to build a shared language between the technical and legal communities.

For participants, the attraction is not only the knowledge but the access to a peer network. As seen in past programs, FCRF’s community often extends beyond the course, with dedicated WhatsApp groups and forums continuing discussions on data privacy, cybercrime trends, and governance challenges long after the formal training ends.

The Road Ahead and How to Register

As India rolls out its Digital Personal Data Protection Rules and prepares for the enforcement of new criminal codes, programs like CCLP will be watched closely by industry, government, and academia. They represent a growing recognition that digital justice requires more than just codified laws — it requires trained practitioners who can interpret, investigate, and enforce in real time.

With hundreds already trained under its previous certifications, FCRF’s bet is clear: the future of law is digital, and those who master its intricacies will shape the next generation of justice. Interested participants can Click Here to register now for the CCLP Program.
