In a high-stakes emergency preparedness exercise, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate orchestrated a coordinated mock drill at the Noida International Airport on Wednesday evening. Designed to simulate a disaster scenario, the operation tested the resilience and response of multiple government departments across villages and key installations.

A Unified Response to a Simulated Crisis

Under the sharp command of Police Commissioner the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate on Wednesday conducted a large-scale emergency mock drill at Noida International Airport. The aim: to rigorously evaluate the readiness of various civil and law enforcement agencies in handling a hypothetical disaster scenario and to fine-tune inter-agency coordination.

The drill began at 6 PM and was spearheaded on-ground by DCP Greater Noida operating under the direct supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) and Headquarters Commissioner.  Stakeholders from the district administration, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), health, electricity, and disaster management departments joined hands in this complex multi-layered simulation.

Blackout Across 8 Villages as Part of Drill

As the clock ticked 7:01 PM, a complete blackout was initiated as part of the drill’s second phase. Power was cut across the airport facility and eight surrounding villages Kishorepur, Banwarivas, Nagla Jahanu, Kuraib, Dayanatpur, Sabota, Ranhera, and Nagla Bhawla simulating a high-impact disruption scenario. This forced agencies to switch to backup systems, test crisis protocols, and assess citizen communication strategies under pressure.

From district magistrate offices to local law enforcement and paramedical services, all departments were pressed into action. The drill included not only logistical response but also measured the speed of inter-departmental communication, on-ground tactical deployment, and infrastructure resilience.
