The Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached movable and immovable properties valued at approximately ₹85.19 crore in an investigation into an alleged investment fraud run by Dream Makers Global Pvt Ltd. Operating under the pretext of software ventures and specialized deposit plans, the entity collected an estimated ₹400 crore from thousands of depositors across the region. Investors were lured with promises of lucrative daily returns along with the assurance that their principal capital would double within a span of 150 days. The agency stepped into the case following a First Information Report filed by the Coimbatore unit of the Economic Offences Wing, which invoked the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors Act, 1997, and the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019.
Initial Returns and Subsequent Payment Defaults
According to investigators, the firm and its key managerial executives solicited substantial capital by advertising high-yield software projects. To build public credibility and attract wider participation, the management initially released regular payouts to early participants. Once considerable funds poured into the system, the company abruptly stopped disbursements, leaving thousands of depositors facing severe financial losses. Central officials stated that the pooled capital was never deployed for legitimate operational ventures as represented to depositors, but was instead deliberately misappropriated and redirected into unauthorized channels.
Diversion Across Multiple Accounts and Asset Creation
Financial inquiries revealed that approximately ₹400 crore collected from depositors was initially credited into three main bank accounts operated by the company. From these primary repositories, the capital was dispersed through an intricate web of accounts belonging to the firm, its senior management, agents, franchise operators, and related corporate entities. Investigators uncovered extensive fund movements executed through inter-account banking transfers, substantial cash withdrawals, and direct disbursements to business associates. Inquiries confirmed that the diverted capital was utilized to purchase immovable properties, luxury vehicles, gold jewellery, and other high-value assets.
Searches Reveal Agent Commissions and Personal Enrichment
The probe established that network agents who mobilized retail depositors received hefty commissions, while senior executives siphoned off significant sums for personal expenditure. On June 30, 2026, the central agency carried out search and survey operations across residential and commercial premises connected to the company and its key associates, seizing electronic devices, accounting ledgers, and critical documentation. The provisional attachment of ₹85.19 crore in assets was executed to safeguard the suspected proceeds of crime from being sold or transferred while authorities trace the complete money trail, determine total investor liabilities, and establish the culpability of all operational partners.
