FutureCrime Summit 2025 Announces World’s Largest Digital Forensics Hackathon
The Future Crime Summit 2025, in collaboration with Bhumi Itech, proudly announces the Biggest Global Hackathon on Digital Forensics on 11-12 Feb 2025, a historic event that sets a new benchmark for cybersecurity innovation and problem-solving. For the first time ever, cyber enthusiasts and professionals from around the world will have the chance to compete on a unified, global stage, tackling real-world challenges and redefining how we combat digital crimes.
Event Overview
This hackathon is more than just a competition; it’s a global initiative to empower and inspire forensic enthusiasts, professionals, and researchers to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cybercrime investigations. With problem statements curated from Rangestorm, India’s pioneering Cyber Range Platform, participants will immerse themselves in scenarios that replicate real-world forensic challenges, providing an unparalleled opportunity for skill development and innovation.
Hackathon Storyline: Digital Forensics in a Complex Cybersecurity Landscape
Problem Statement
In this scenario, you are part of a specialized digital forensics team called in to investigate a series of high-profile cyber incidents that have shaken multiple industries. The attacks are suspected to be part of a larger coordinated effort to exploit vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure and financial systems. The adversaries appear to be using sophisticated methods to hide their digital footprints, including advanced encryption, zero-day exploits, and multi-layered obfuscation techniques.
Challenge Overview
Your mission is to investigate and solve a series of real-world inspired cybercrimes through digital forensics techniques. These exercises will test your ability to analyze compromised systems, uncover hidden evidence, and piece together the attack’s timeline while adhering to strict legal and ethical guidelines. The stakes are high—your findings will be used to track down cybercriminals, prevent future attacks, and protect organizations from devastating consequences.
