Financial disputes behind the murder

Investigating officers revealed that Preeti had repeatedly demanded money from the accused, creating tension between them. On January 7, following a major argument, Ram Singh allegedly planned and carried out the murder. Police said the accused first attempted to hide the body in a blue drum but failed. Subsequently, he placed the remains in a metal box and continued burning them on a stove inside the house.

Attempt to dispose of charred remains in a blue box

On Saturday night, the accused reportedly loaded burned body parts, bones, and ashes into a blue box and tried to transport it elsewhere using an auto-rickshaw. The driver and nearby residents became suspicious when liquid and foul smell leaked from the box, prompting them to alert the police.

When police reached the site and opened the box, they found charred body parts, bones, and coal. During the investigation, the accused’s son, Nitin, along with two others, were taken into custody. The main accused, Ram Singh Parihar, was arrested on Sunday evening near Sainyar Gate.

Accused’s controversial personal life

Police said Ram Singh Parihar had a controversial personal life, with two wives and several children. He was also known locally for his unstable behavior and relationships with multiple women. Authorities believe that financial stress and domestic disputes were key factors behind the brutal murder.

A case was registered based on a complaint by the victim’s former husband. Three special police teams have been assigned to carry out a thorough investigation. Forensic teams collected evidence from the rented house, and preparations are underway to conduct a post-mortem of the recovered remains.

City gripped by fear and outrage

The incident has left residents of Jhansi both shocked and outraged. Locals gathered near the crime scene, demanding strict action against the accused. Police have assured the public that all necessary steps are being taken given the gravity of the case.

Officials noted: This case is not only the outcome of a personal dispute but also highlights serious challenges for city security and the legal process. Once the investigation is complete, strict action will be taken against all responsible parties.
