A retired IAF Wing Commander was defrauded of Rs 45 lakh by cybercriminals posing as phone company executives and police officers. They manipulated him into transferring the money under the pretext of clearing his name from fake charges of human trafficking and money laundering.

3. Telangana: SBI Manager and Gym Trainer Arrested in Rs 175 Crore Cyber Fraud Case
An SBI branch manager and a gym trainer were arrested in Telangana for their involvement in a Rs 175 crore cyber fraud. The manager facilitated illegal transactions through bank accounts in exchange for commissions. The mastermind behind the fraud is believed to be in Dubai.

4. Police Recover Rs 1.37 Crore from Cyber Fraudsters in Commissionerate Case
Cybercriminals cheated people in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar out of Rs 45.84 crore through various scams in the last seven months.
