1. Bihar Man Arrested by Delhi Police for Supplying SIM Cards to International Cybercriminals
Delhi Police arrested Anuj Kumar from Gaya, Bihar, for supplying over 1,000 illegal SIM cards internationally to countries like China and Cambodia. Officials seized 5,000 SIM cards and 25 phones. Anuj exploited Gaya’s tourist hub status, issuing multiple SIMs per identity for cyber frauds, including financial scams and investment frauds.
2. Cyber Fraud in Kollam: Rs 3 Crore Lost by Three Victims
Fraudsters posing as officials duped two women in Kollam of Rs 92 lakh and Rs 1.5 crore using “virtual arrest” scams. They claimed involvement in fake MDMA cases and forced victims to transfer money for “verification.” Kollam Cyber Police also thwarted scams targeting a government official and others through timely interventions.
3. Andhra Pradesh Cyber Police Bust Online Loan Fraud and Betting Scam
Visakhapatnam Cyber Crime Police arrested a gang running an online loan fraud and illegal betting racket, duping victims via fake loan apps like “Indian Bulls.” They laundered Rs 20 crore through mule accounts linked to Dubai betting apps. Key accused earned Rs 80 lakh in commissions. Police seized cash, mobiles, and laptops.
4. Cybercrime Syndicate Targeting Stock Investors Exposed; One Arrested
Delhi Police arrested Rahul Kumar Srivastava in Noida, busting a cybercrime syndicate running fraudulent stock market schemes under “Rudra Traders.” Using fake Aadhaar and PAN cards, the gang laundered crores through shell companies. Linked to 33 NCRP cases, police froze fraudulent accounts and recovered phones, chequebooks, and SIM cards.
5. ED busts 640 crore cyber fraud racket run by CAs & CSs
Between November 28-30, ED arrested two CAs and a crypto trader, exposing a global money laundering syndicate using 5,000 mule accounts and UAE-based platform “PYYPL.” Raids in multiple cities recovered Rs 47 lakh, cryptocurrency worth Rs 1.36 crore, and hundreds of financial documents. Police arrested one accused for attacking ED officials.

6. DroidBot Android Spyware Targets Banking and Cryptocurrency Users
Cleafy Labs has identified DroidBot, a MaaS-based Android spyware targeting banking, cryptocurrency users, and government employees in Europe. Disguised as security or banking apps, it exploits Android Accessibility Services to steal data, log keystrokes, and control devices. Active in several countries, it highlights the growing threat of MaaS-enabled cyberattacks.

7. Japan Plans to Monitor International Communications for Cybersecurity
Japan plans to monitor international communications linked to cyber threats, requiring prior approval from a third-party organization. A proposed bill aims to enable active cyber defense, including server access to neutralize attacks. Surveillance will target foreign-linked threats while excluding personal communications, ensuring compliance with constitutional privacy protections, sources revealed.
8. FBI and CISA Recommend Encrypted Messaging to Counter Rising Cyber Threats
