Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): Police investigating the Ram Temple donation theft case have intensified their financial probe and sought details of 53 Permanent Account Numbers (PANs) linked to the arrested accused, their family members and close associates. According to police officials, the objective of the financial investigation is to determine how the alleged stolen funds were utilised and whether the money was diverted into other activities. Investigators are analysing bank accounts, property transactions, investments and other financial records to identify suspicious movements of funds. Authorities suspect that a portion of the alleged stolen amount may have been invested in land or other real estate assets.
The investigation covers eight key accused arrested in connection with the case. They include Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Karunesh Pandey, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Ramashankar Mishra, Ramshankar Yadav and Subhash Srivastava. Police are trying to establish the sources of income of the accused and their associates and determine whether there was any unusual change in their financial behaviour after the alleged theft. Information received from the Income Tax Department is expected to help investigators identify undisclosed assets, suspicious transactions and possible financial links.
The investigation agencies are also focusing on transactions related to the real estate sector. Police are examining property records from Ayodhya’s Sadar tehsil area, as well as land-related activities in Sohawal and Nawabganj area of Tarabganj tehsil in Gonda district. Officials said documents related to property purchases and sales are being verified.
According to police, the investigation has entered a crucial stage. Digital records, banking documents, property papers and income tax details are being analysed to establish the complete financial trail of the case.
Investigators are also trying to determine whether the alleged stolen funds remained limited to the arrested accused or were transferred to a wider network. Officials said the exact role of individuals and the complete flow of money will become clear only after the financial investigation is completed.
