US immigration authorities have arrested Indian national Satvir Singh in New Hampshire after he allegedly remained in the country beyond the period permitted under his admission for more than eight years. Singh was taken into custody by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement during an operation at a commercial vehicle inspection station.
Arrested During Truck Inspection Operation
Singh was arrested by ICE Boston on September 11 at a commercial vehicle inspection station in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. At the time, he was working as a truck driver engaged in interstate commerce and had a residence in New Jersey.

Singh’s arrest came less than two weeks after ICE Boston detained another Indian national, Bankim Ramjibhai Aghera, in Keene, New Hampshire.
Aghera had pending felony charges, including aggravated sexual assault involving serious injury and sexual assault without consent. The two arrests were separate cases, with Singh’s detention linked to his alleged immigration overstay during the New Hampshire enforcement operation.
