Greater Noida. An FIR has been registered against the management, doctors and staff of Green City Hospital in Greater Noida over allegations of medical negligence, preparation of incorrect medical reports and an attempt to extort money in the name of treatment. The Surajpur police registered the case following a court order. The complainant alleges that doctors told him his son, who was suffering from typhoid, had developed kidney failure and required dialysis. However, subsequent tests at another hospital reportedly showed normal results. The hospital management has denied the allegations, stating that no such complaint has come to its notice.

According to Sachin Bidhuri, a resident of Dadri, he admitted his son, Satvik, to Green City Hospital in Delta-1 on September 20, 2025, after the child developed a fever. Blood samples were collected for testing. After receiving the reports, the doctors allegedly informed him that the child needed to be admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). They also claimed that his blood urea, potassium and sodium levels were significantly elevated.

According to the complaint, the hospital sent additional samples to another laboratory to verify the initial findings. The second laboratory reportedly returned similar results. The doctors then allegedly asked the child’s family to sign consent documents immediately and deposit money for treatment. They informed the father that his son’s kidneys had failed and that dialysis was necessary to save his life.

Risk of Heart Failure Cited During Dialysis

Sachin Bidhuri alleges that the doctors warned him that the child could suffer heart failure during dialysis, potentially resulting in death. He was also reportedly told that the risk of heart failure existed even if dialysis was not performed.

The alarming information left the family distressed. When relatives arrived at the hospital, they advised Sachin to seek a second medical opinion and take the child to another hospital for treatment.

According to the complainant, he first took his son to Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida. After examining the reports issued by Green City Hospital, doctors there advised him to take the child to a higher-level medical facility. The child was subsequently transported by ambulance, under medical supervision, to Kailash Hospital in Sector 27, Noida.

Second Hospital’s Tests Reportedly Indicated Typhoid

Sachin alleges that his son was immediately admitted to the ICU at Kailash Hospital in Noida, where treatment was initiated. According to the complaint, fresh tests conducted there returned normal results, and the doctors reportedly diagnosed the child with an ordinary case of typhoid fever.

The findings raised questions about the earlier claims that the child’s kidneys had failed and that dialysis was necessary. The father alleged that incorrect information about his son’s medical condition had been provided and that there was an attempt to extract money in the name of treatment.

He further claimed that the alleged actions could have endangered his child’s life. Seeking legal action in the matter, he approached the court. Following the court’s order, Surajpur police registered an FIR against the management or director of Green City Hospital, the doctors concerned and other staff members.

However, the registration of an FIR does not establish the allegations as proven. The investigation will determine the reasons behind the alleged discrepancies in the medical reports and whether any negligence occurred during the child’s treatment.

Hospital Management Calls Allegations Baseless

Green City Hospital management has described the allegations against it as baseless. It stated that no such matter had come to its notice and invited patients or their relatives who had faced difficulties during treatment to approach the hospital team and register their complaints.

Meanwhile, Gautam Buddh Nagar Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Madan Mohan Mani Tripathi said his office had not received any complaint in this regard so far.

He stated that if a complaint is received, a committee will be constituted to investigate the matter. Appropriate action will be taken against anyone found responsible following the inquiry.
