The ED has carried out searches at multiple locations in Patiala and Mohali, with premises linked to DM Web Based Solutions and Flying Feathers among those under investigation.
The operations began on Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday morning, while the agency had not officially disclosed the full details of the investigation or the specific allegations behind the action at the time of reporting.
Premises Searched in Patiala and Mohali
In Patiala, ED officials searched premises in Urban Estate Phase II, including establishments linked to DM Web Based Solutions and Flying Feathers. Officials reportedly examined documents, computer data and other records during the operation. Two establishments in the area were also reported to have been sealed during the searches.
Another ED team reached Plot No. 2010 in IT City, Sector 82A, Mohali, where records linked to the ongoing investigation were examined. The searches reportedly began late at night and continued for several hours.
Initial reports have linked the Patiala operation to alleged fake call centre activities and possible cyber fraud connections. However, the precise nature of the case and the role of any individuals or companies were yet to be clarified by the ED.

Political Claims Surface Over ED Action
The searches also drew political attention. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia referred to the ED action involving Flying Feathers and DM Web Based Solutions. He alleged that activities were being carried out under the cover of IELTS classes and raised claims about possible fraud involving people abroad.
Reports also suggested that the investigation could involve links to other individuals and business establishments. However, no official ED statement confirming the identity or involvement of any IPS officer in the current searches was available at the time of reporting.
Details of Seizures and Arrests Awaited
The latest operation follows several ED investigations in Punjab and neighbouring areas involving alleged financial irregularities and suspected money laundering activity. The agency’s Chandigarh office had conducted searches at eight premises across Chandigarh, Mohali, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh in August in a separate case.
Further information about the present Patiala and Mohali searches, including whether any seizures or arrests were made and the exact offences under investigation, was awaited from the Enforcement Directorate.
