New Delhi: On October 19, allegations emerged accusing renowned choreographer Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle D’Souza, and five other individuals of defrauding a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore. The accusations were made by a 26-year-old dancer from Maharashtra’s Mira Road, who filed an FIR on October 16, claiming that the group had been cheated out of their prize money after winning a reality dance show.

The complaint alleges that the fraud occurred over a period between 2018 and July 2024. In addition to Remo and Lizelle, the accused include Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Ramesh Gupta, Rohit Jhadhav, Frame Production Company, and a policeman named Vinod Raut. They have been charged with forgery, cheating, and other related offenses under the Indian Penal Code.
