Airtel Business has launched IQ Gateway, a network intelligence platform combining enterprise communications and fraud controls.

What does IQ Gateway combine?

The platform brings SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice communications and number verification onto a single control plane. It is described as DPDP-compliant and is intended to simplify how enterprises manage business communications while protecting customer trust.

Airtel Business said the platform is designed to address fragmented communication systems, limited visibility into message delivery and inflated bills caused by OTP pumping by bots. It can also be used to manage pre-approved message templates.

The company described IQ Gateway as a telco-grade network intelligence platform for secure enterprise messaging, integrating multiple communication channels and fraud protection capabilities.

How does it tackle fraud?

IQ Gateway integrates Airtel’s fraud protection solutions, including automatic DLT integration and intelligent multi-channel routing. It also includes IQ Verify, which provides network-first fraud scoring.

Another feature, Silent Authentication, enables SIM-based logins and replaces OTP SMS for authentication. The company has positioned these capabilities as measures intended to strengthen security while addressing fraud risks associated with enterprise communications.

The platform’s fraud controls are aimed at helping businesses reduce financial losses while improving the security of customer interactions.

Which businesses is Airtel targeting?

Sharat Sinha, CEO of Airtel Business, said the platform extends the company’s fraud-prevention expertise to enterprises and is intended to help businesses build customer trust through safer communications.

The platform is targeted at sectors including BFSI, government, e-commerce and logistics, with the stated aim of reducing losses associated with cybercrime.

Businesses can integrate IQ Gateway with their existing workflows and vendor ecosystems rather than relying on a single deployment model. This is intended to give enterprises flexibility in choosing how the platform fits into their existing technology and security environments.

How can enterprises deploy it?

Enterprises can install IQ Gateway on their own premises or host it on Airtel’s cloud as Software as a Service. The choice can be made according to an organisation’s security requirements and preferences.

The combination of communications management, network intelligence and fraud controls places the platform across both operational messaging and enterprise security functions.

Airtel Business is scheduled to showcase IQ Gateway at the India Mobile Congress from October 7 to 10, 2026.
