Paying tribute to the departed officer, senior IPS officer and Odisha IPS Association President Saumendra Priyadarshi described him as a brilliant officer and an institution builder. Priyadarshi noted that Ahamed established himself as an anti-Naxal expert early in his career while serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer in Gunupur.
