Nashik/Mumbai:   Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has issued a significant update regarding the ongoing investigation into the Nashik case, stating that the final and comprehensive review will be conducted by an independent oversight committee. The company said the committee has been formed to ensure a transparent, structured, and impartial examination of all facts before reaching any conclusions.

According to the company, the internal investigation is being led by Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian, with additional support from external experts to strengthen the process. Global audit firm Deloitte and legal advisory firm Trilegal have been engaged to assist in ensuring that the inquiry remains independent, methodical, and aligned with established compliance standards.

TCS has strongly rejected several allegations linked to the case. The company clarified that Nida Khan is neither an HR manager nor involved in any recruitment-related responsibilities, and does not hold any leadership role in hiring or decision-making processes. The firm stated that claims suggesting otherwise are factually incorrect and misleading.

The company also dismissed reports claiming that the Nashik unit had been shut down. It confirmed that operations at the facility are continuing as normal, with no disruption to business activities. TCS further noted that several circulating claims on social media and other platforms are unverified and should not be treated as factual until the investigation is completed.

In its statement, TCS highlighted that a preliminary review of its internal grievance mechanisms—including the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) framework and ethics helplines—has not identified any formal complaints matching the allegations currently being discussed publicly. The company reiterated that it maintains a robust compliance system, and all complaints are handled through established procedures.

Officials involved in the probe said that the investigation involves a detailed review of documents, email communications, digital records, and employee interviews. The objective is to determine whether any procedural lapses occurred and whether all internal policies were properly followed.

Sources indicated that the independent oversight committee plays a critical role in the process, as it will thoroughly evaluate all evidence and findings before the final report is prepared. The committee is expected to ensure that the conclusions are free from internal influence, pressure, or bias.

Industry experts note that large corporate investigations increasingly rely on multi-layered frameworks involving internal teams, external auditors, and independent oversight bodies. This approach is designed to enhance transparency, improve accountability, and strengthen stakeholder confidence in sensitive matters.

TCS reiterated that no final conclusions have been reached at this stage, and any actions will be strictly based on verified facts emerging from the investigation. The company urged stakeholders and the public to avoid speculation or unverified claims until the process is completed.

The oversight committee is expected to complete its review in the coming weeks. Following this, the final report will be submitted along with recommendations, which will form the basis for any further decisions or actions by the company.
