The victim further alleged that the group threatened to make the video viral and file a false rape case against him if he did not pay money. Initially, the accused demanded ₹3 lakh from him through blackmailing.

According to the complaint, on October 19, 2025, the victim, accompanied by his mother Ashraf Jahan and brother Abdul Rahman, went to Suleman’s house fearing social humiliation. The accused allegedly pressured them and forced Rehana to receive ₹85,000.

FIR Against 12, Including Family Relatives

The victim claimed that the accused were involved in similar honeytrap extortion activities where they trapped people, assaulted them, recorded objectionable videos, and later demanded money using threats of public defamation.

On October 18, 2025, Shagufta’s brother-in-law Imran, along with Suleman, Anees and Pappi Chaudhary, allegedly contacted the victim again and demanded ₹1 lakh.

Police said a case has been registered against 12 people based on the written complaint, and investigation is underway. The station house officer of Mughalpura stated that evidence is being collected and the role of each accused is being examined.

Officials are probing whether the gang was involved in similar honeytrap extortion cases targeting other victims. The police are also checking digital evidence, call records and possible network links among the accused.

Law enforcement authorities have advised people to remain cautious while interacting with unknown persons on phone or social media and avoid sharing personal or sensitive information.

Police emphasized that victims of such honeytrap or blackmail threats should immediately report the matter to authorities instead of paying money under pressure. The investigation into the case is continuing.
