New Delhi: In an effort to strengthen cyber crime investigation capabilities, the Centre for Police Technology (CPT) is set to organize a specialized online webinar titled “फर्जी वेबसाइट की विवेचना के लिए SOP – Step-by-Step Guide to Fake Website Investigation” on February 11 (Wednesday) from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM via Zoom.
The webinar is designed for police officers, cyber investigators, digital forensic experts, and professionals involved in tackling online fraud. With the rapid rise in phishing attacks, fraudulent e-commerce portals, fake government websites, and investment scam platforms, investigators are increasingly required to develop technical expertise in identifying and dismantling such digital infrastructures.
According to the organizers, the session will focus on establishing a clear Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for fake website investigations. Two domain experts will conduct a live demonstration, guiding participants through practical techniques such as domain analysis, hosting traceability, IP tracking basics, evidence preservation, and coordination with service providers. The aim is to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and real-world investigative application.
The Centre for Police Technology has been actively working toward capacity building in areas such as cyber crime investigation, digital forensics, AI in policing, and emerging technology threats. This webinar is part of its broader initiative to equip law enforcement agencies with actionable knowledge and hands-on exposure.
