Three individuals from Kozhikode, Kerala, were arrested for cyber fraud. Victim was lured into posting positive Google reviews for payments. He later paid Rs 5.01 lakh in installments to unlock supposed rewards. Realizing the scam, he reported it to Salem District Cyber Crime Police.

2. Gurugram Police Crack Rs 157.90 Crore Cyber Fraud, 27 Arrested

Gurugram Police arrested 27 individuals, including a minor, for a Rs 157.90 crore cyber fraud linked to 14,633 complaints nationwide. The accused operated scams involving fake Instagram identities, investment fraud, and sextortion. Authorities recovered mobile phones, SIM cards, and debit cards, urging the public to stay cautious and report cyber crimes.

3. Woman Loses Over Rs 5 Lakh in Cyber Fraud

A Govind Nagar woman lost Rs 5.35 lakh in a work-from-home cyber fraud. Lured via a Telegram link, she initially earned Rs 120 but was later scammed through larger tasks. Her account showed Rs 8 lakh profit but was blocked. Cyber police are investigating the fraudulent accounts under the IT Act.

4. NTR Police Recover 372 Lost Phones Worth Rs 60 Lakh

NTR district cyber crime police recovered 372 lost phones worth Rs 60 lakh. Commissioner highlighted advanced tracking technology used in over 2,000 recoveries. He urged citizens to report lost phones via ChatBot and warned against cyber fraud. Police plan to install 2,000 CCTV cameras for security.

5. Cyberabad Police Nab Mule Account Suppliers in Rs 1.38 Crore Scam

Cyberabad police arrested three men from Tamil Nadu for a Rs 1.38 crore ‘digital arrest’ scam targeting an 82-year-old retired engineer. Posing as SBI officials and cybercrime officers, fraudsters coerced the victim into transferring money. The accused supplied mule accounts, and police are investigating the mastermind behind the scam.
