MANDSAUR, MP: The Madhya Pradesh State Cyber Cell achieved significant success , uncovering a major fraud hub operating in Mandsaur. Much like Jamtara, a notorious hotspot for scams, Mandsaur was home to a fake call center running fraudulent activities.

In a raid by the Cyber Cell team, 4 men and 17 women were apprehended. Reports indicate that the individuals at this call center were luring victims by promising high returns through share trading investments.

The operation was based in Punjabi Colony in Shamgarh, Mandsaur, where 20-25 employees were working under the guise of a fake “Diamond Research Company.”

Through an “ALGO App,” they convinced people to invest, offering unrealistic returns in a short time. Once someone fell into their trap, the fraudsters would siphon off their money.

The alleged mastermind behind the operation has been identified as Kushal Kewat. Employees at the call center were assigned a target of 150 calls per day, aiming to reach as many potential victims as possible. During the raid, police seized mobile phones and SIM cards, which are now under investigation.

The critical questions are how many people have fallen victim to this scheme and where the swindled money has been stored. Police are now intensifying their inquiry to find answers and trace the funds.
