Noida: The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate has made history by becoming the first police commissionerate in Uttar Pradesh to receive the ISO 9001:2015 certification. This certification, awarded on August 9, 2024, is a recognition of the commissionerate’s commitment to delivering high-quality police services, effective public grievance redressal, and maintaining international standards in administrative management.

Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, a concerted effort was made to standardize various processes within the commissionerate. This involved the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across multiple branches, including the IGRS, Dial 112, and the legal cell. The aim was to ensure that the services provided by the commissionerate align with global standards, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force.

Following the establishment of these SOPs, the commissionerate underwent a thorough audit conducted by Royal Impact Certification Limited. This audit assessed the quality management, infrastructure, and service delivery processes in place. The successful completion of the audit led to the award of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking Gautam Buddha Nagar as an internationally recognized and authorized police commissionerate.

Commissioner Laxmi Singh emphasized that this achievement is a landmark moment for the commissionerate and the broader community, as it reflects the commitment to improving public trust and ensuring that the police services are on par with international standards.
