Hackers are now cloning bank card with wireless technology.

Ever thought what will happen if money from your bank account is siphoned off without you sharing your bank card details, swiping your card on a machine or in an ATM?

Gone are the days when experts advised to doubled check the ATM machine if any skimmer or card cloning device was attached to it. Hackers are now using a wireless machine which is stealing the data from your debit and credit card without even coming in contact of it.

Yes, law enforcement agencies and cyber experts have a new challenge ahead of them. Various online shopping platforms are selling – GSM Data Receiver Skimmer, which enables a cyber criminal to clone your bank card by staying meters away from you.

How Does It Work:

GSM data receiver with the help of special software clones and receives all credit card and debit card information when someone is swiping their card on POS or using it at ATM terminals.

The received information is stored in the built-in memory card. The device can collect 25,000 – 27,000 data records at a time. To download card information, criminals just need to connect it with a computer, and the data will be saved.

There are many sellers online who have sold this device in India which cost around 999 dollars ie Rs 73,000 approx. A senior police officer said earlier physical swiping of the card was necessary to make a clone but now it is being wirelessly done. This is going to create a new mess.

If the criminals are making a clone of a bank card from a distance of 10 meters then chances are high that they would not be captured on any cameras installed around point of transaction and without anyone’s knowledge, they will easily clone the card.
