The Gujarat Cyber Crime Cell in Surat arrested 12 people from Jamnagar, Banaskantha, and Delhi for digital fraud in an interstate cybercrime racket. In a separate case, Delhi Police busted a “digital arrest” scam, where a retired official was defrauded of Rs 48.5 lakh using fake virtual court proceedings.
2. Cyber Fraud Busted in Tamil Nadu: Two Nabbed for Duping Victims of Lakhs
Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Police arrested two individuals in Madurai and Tirupur for cyber fraud involving lakhs. In one case, a fake Facebook ad offering an airport driver job duped a man of Rs 5.58 lakh. Mastermind D. Prakash from Salem was caught for running mule accounts and fake advertisements.
3. Jharkhand Cyber Fraudsters Caught in Lucknow for Using Stolen Phones in Scams
A joint team of Cyber Crime Cell and Ghazipur Police arrested four Jharkhand-based fraudsters and detained three minors for mobile theft and online fraud. They stole phones, accessed SIM-linked bank accounts, and made unauthorized UPI transactions. Police recovered 46 phones; minors were used for theft to evade strict legal action.

4. Seven Including Minors Held in Mobile Theft & Cyber Fraud Racket
An inter-state cyber fraud gang from Jharkhand was busted by Cyber Crime Cell and Ghazipur Police, with four adults arrested and three juveniles detained. The gang stole phones, disabled tracking, accessed SIM-linked bank accounts, and laundered money via fake IDs. Police recovered 46 mobiles; further investigation is ongoing.
5. Rs 2.43 Crore Investment Scam: Hyderabad Cyber Police Arrest Navi Mumbai Youth
Hyderabad Cybercrime Police arrested 22-year-old from Navi Mumbai for his role in a Rs 2.43 crore investment scam. A 56-year-old victim was duped via fake trading apps into repeatedly investing money. Police traced the fraud and found Patil supplied bank accounts used in the scam.
