Surveillance Measures Flag Discrepancies Across Shifts
The examination authorities stepped up vigil across all centres to curb unfair practices and impersonation. During the second day of the examination schedule, artificial intelligence-based face-matching tools flagged a total of 22 suspicious aspirants, including 13 candidates identified during the morning shift and others in the afternoon shift. Commission officials noted that necessary administrative and legal action will be initiated against the individuals once detailed inquiries are completed. In a separate breach in Jhansi, an FIR was lodged at the local police station against a candidate identified as Akash Patel after he was caught in possession of an unauthorized Bluetooth device inside the examination hall.
Commission Mandates AI Facial Matching and Biometrics
According to Subhash Chandra Prajapati, examination controller of the commission, the eligibility test is being conducted in two shifts under tight security arrangements. To verify the genuine identity of test-takers and stop proxy candidates, facial recognition systems powered by artificial intelligence were deployed across the centres. In addition to the digital face-matching process, biometric information was captured for every candidate present in the halls to maintain complete records and safeguard examination integrity.
Over Three Lakh Candidates Skip Second Day of Exam
Despite extensive logistics arranged across the state, absenteeism remained high during the Friday session. Nearly one-third of the total registered aspirants failed to appear for the test, leaving 3.92 lakh empty seats while 7.88 lakh candidates completed the papers. The ongoing process is set to conclude on November 1 with the conduct of the final phase across designated centres in Uttar Pradesh.
