Once celebrated as a fast-growing agri-tech startup revolutionizing farm-to-home grocery delivery, OTIPY is now under fire after dozens of customers reported non-refunded wallet balances, undelivered groceries, and non-functional customer support channels. The startup, known for its tie-ups with local farmers and value-based pricing, has not processed refunds or delivered items to many users for over two months.
Frustrated consumers are now demanding a First Information Report (FIR) against the company, accusing them of misappropriation of funds. “My wallet money is stuck, no groceries delivered, and not even a single helpline works,” one customer lamented on social media.

Several users claim that OTIPY’s app and website continue to accept orders and wallet recharges, despite zero fulfillment and no customer service response. Attempts to reach the company through its email support, call centers, and chatbots have gone unanswered.
From Start-up Darling to Financial Misconduct Accusations
Founded as part of the Crofarm Agriproducts initiative, OTIPY had built a strong investor base and user trust by promising fresh produce at low margins. Backed by venture capital and agritech enthusiasm, the platform rapidly expanded in Delhi NCR and other urban clusters.
However, cracks began appearing in early 2024 when complaints surged regarding delayed deliveries and refund backlogs. By May 2025, several customers reported that wallet recharges and subscription payments were going unacknowledged.
OTIPY’s social media accounts have gone dormant, and no official statement has been released by the company so far.
Legal Action Looms for Alleged Financial Misconduct
Affected users are now pushing for legal recourse. A petition demanding an FIR against OTIPY for alleged financial misconduct has been circulated and submitted to local police authorities. Cyber law experts have pointed out that the case may involve violations under the IT Act, and the BNS.
Authorities are being urged to freeze OTIPY’s bank accounts, meanwhile, regulatory agencies like the Consumer Affairs Ministry and Startup India are also being petitioned to investigate OTIPY’s collapse, given the platform’s public prominence and venture funding exposure. A startup once celebrated for revolutionizing fresh grocery delivery now faces a dramatic fall from grace amid mounting customer complaints and financial silence.
