Noida: The Sector 63 police have arrested 13 individuals, including three women, for running a fraudulent call center that duped manufacturers of lakhs of rupees under the pretext of promoting their products on social media and providing distributors.
According to DCP Central Noida Shakti Mohan Awasthi, a raid was conducted at a call center operating in G-block of Sector 63 based on a tip-off. During the raid, police apprehended 13 people identified as Keshav, Vikas, Ravi, Amit, Pradeep, Avinash, Ashish, Ritesh, Manish, Ritesh, Nidhi, Anjali, and Kritika.
The police recovered 10 laptops, two computers, 10 mobile phones, a printer, a cheque book, and several incriminating documents from the premises.

Modus Operandi
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they targeted manufacturers by offering fake promotional services for their products through social media. They also promised to connect them with distributors, charging hefty fees for these fraudulent services. Once the victims made payments, the gang would either cut contact or provide fake distributor leads, ultimately cheating them of large sums. The accused have confessed to scamming hundreds of victims, collectively amounting to crores of rupees.
Ongoing Investigation
Police officials stated that the accused are being interrogated intensively to uncover further details about their network and other possible associates. Authorities are also examining the digital evidence and financial transactions to track down the extent of the fraud.
This crackdown is part of Noida Police’s ongoing efforts to curb cyber and financial fraud in the region. Victims of similar scams have been urged to come forward and report their cases.
