Nishu Tyagi, personal driver of the SDM, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Team while accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh. On Monday, the accused accepted the first installment of ₹1 lakh.

The operation, led by the Meerut in-charge Mayank Kumar Arora, also recovered the entire bribe amount. Legal proceedings have now been initiated against the driver, who has been presented in court.
