Additionally, the draft rules are expected to shed light on the establishment of the Data Protection Board, including the process for appointing the chairperson and other members, along with their terms and conditions of service.

The release of these draft rules marks a significant step in operationalizing the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, which seeks to create a comprehensive framework for safeguarding personal data while ensuring compliance and accountability for data processors and fiduciaries.

The Ministry has emphasized the importance of public participation in shaping these rules, which will play a crucial role in defining the implementation of the Act. Stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft and contribute their inputs to help create a balanced and effective regulatory framework.
