Maharashtra Cyber Launches Major Recruitment Drive to Combat Rising Cybercrime

Mumbai  – Maharashtra Cyber is expanding its team to fight the growing threat of cybercrime in the state. The agency is looking for skilled professionals to help investigate and prevent cybercrime.

Cybercrime is a serious problem that affects individuals, businesses, and governments. Maharashtra Cyber is working to protect the state from these threats through the Maharashtra Cyber Security Project.

The project has several parts, including a 24/7 help center for victims of cybercrime, a team that uses technology to help with investigations, and a group that responds quickly to cyberattacks.

The Maharashtra Cyber Security Project is a state-of-the-art initiative aimed at bolstering the state’s cybersecurity posture. The project is structured around five key domains: a 24/7 Command & Control Center, a Technology Assisted Investigation (TAI) team, a rapid-action Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-MH), a Security Operations Center (SOC), and a Center of Excellence (COE).

Maharashtra Cyber is looking for people to fill many different roles, including:

A wide range of positions are available, with salaries commensurate with experience and expertise:  

  • Cyber Analyst: 6 months+ experience, earning up to Rs 60,000 – Rs 1,00,000 per month.  
  • Cyber Analyst: 1+ year of experience, earning up to Rs 70,000 – Rs1,20,000 per month.  
  • Cyber Analyst: 2+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 1,00,000 – Rs 1,50,000 per month.  
  • Technology Assisted Investigation (TAI) Analyst: 5+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 2,00,000 –  Rs 5,00,000 per month.  
  • Cyber Crime Investigator: 2+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 1,50,000 – Rs 4,00,000 per month.  
  • CERT Analyst: 2+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 1,50,000 – Rs 4,00,000 per month.  
  • CERT Analyst: 5+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 4,50,000 per month.  
  • CERT Analyst: 8+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 5,00,000 per month.  
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst: 5+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 1,50,000 – Rs 2,50,000 per month.  
  • Cyber Trainer: 2+ years of experience, earning up to Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 5,00,000 per month.

 

Cyber Analysts will monitor networks, analyze cyber threats, and conduct vulnerability assessments. Cyber Forensic Examiners will collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence from various devices.

Cyber Crime Investigators will investigate cybercrime incidents, track perpetrators, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies. CERT Analysts will monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, and strengthen cybersecurity defenses.

SOC Analysts will continuously monitor network traffic, detect threats, and respond to security incidents in real-time. Cyber Trainers will develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs for law enforcement, organizations, and individuals.

According to the job post preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from premier institutes like IITs and NFSU, bounty hunters with recognition from credible organizations, and individuals with experience in app and web development, including UI/UX design. Knowledge of both offensive and defensive aspects of cybersecurity and experience with AI and AI models are also highly valued.
