KAVACH-2023: National Level Hackathon Launched By BPR&D and AICTE To Strengthen Cyber Security
NEW DELHI: KAVACH-2023, a national-level hackathon aimed at identifying new ideas and technology solutions for addressing the cyber security and cybercrime concerns of the twenty-first century, was inaugurated on Thursday.
The national-level Hackathon was jointly launched by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Bureau of Police Research and Development.

TG Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), told the media that KAVACH-2023 is a one-of-a-kind national hackathon to identify innovative ideas and technological solutions for addressing the cyber security and cybercrime challenges of the twenty-first century faced by our law enforcement agencies and ordinary citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Balaji Srivastava, Director General, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), stated that it will be a 36-hour event in which youth from educational institutions across the country and registered start-ups will participate in order to find robust, secure, and effective technological solutions for cyber security through the use of their technical expertise and innovative skills.
“With powerful system monitoring and safety protections, it will enhance the prevention of cyber security crimes,” he added.
