SRINAGAR–  Anantnag police have arrested three individuals accused of carrying out a sophisticated fraud racket that spanned across Jammu and Kashmir. The arrested men allegedly operated under the guise of various sham business ventures, including real estate, fruit trade, and even the wild garlic trade, defrauding numerous individuals of substantial amounts of money.

Modus Operandi: False Promises and Intimidation

According to police reports, the trio lured victims with enticing promises of high returns on investments in their purported businesses. Once the victims invested, the accused would allegedly resort to criminal intimidation when demands for repayment were made.
