A high-stakes educational scam has been uncovered as the Special Operations Group (SOG) exposed a racket involving fake degrees and forged mark sheets issued by JS University, a private university based in Shikohabad, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. The investigation revealed that 21 candidates had fraudulently secured government jobs as physical education teachers in Rajasthan through forged documents submitted during the Physical Teacher Recruitment Examination-2022.

The SOG investigation found that all 21 candidates falsely claimed to hold graduation degrees from Arni University, Himachal Pradesh, while their BPEd mark sheets were allegedly issued by JS University. When Arni University’s student lists from 2016 to 2020 were verified, none of the accused individuals appeared, confirming that both their degrees and mark sheets were fabricated.

This revelation has raised serious concerns over JS University’s credibility, as it allegedly issued hundreds of BPEd degrees, despite being authorized for only 100 seats per session.

Key Arrests Made, Gang Busted in Coordinated Crackdown

Acting on mounting evidence, the SOG launched a thorough crackdown, arresting Vice Chancellor Sukesh Yadav, Registrar Nandan Mishra, and middleman Ajay Bhardwaj. Yadav was arrested from Delhi Airport while attempting to flee the country, indicating the severity and scale of the operation.

Authorities believe the scam was part of a well-organized criminal network that not only issued fake degrees but also facilitated paper leaks and exam manipulation to help ineligible candidates secure government jobs. These fake credentials were reportedly used in recruitment processes across multiple states, extending the scam beyond Rajasthan.

According to the SOG, the gang’s operations involved collusion between university insiders and external agents who charged hefty sums to create and validate fake educational qualifications.

Students Cautioned as Probe Widens Across States

The ongoing investigation has sent shockwaves through the education sector. The SOG has so far examined documents of 5,390 candidates, out of which 254 had submitted BPEd degrees from JS University. Shockingly, 108 of those degrees were found to be fake, leading to the dismissal of 134 physical education teachers who obtained jobs based on forged credentials.

This case serves as a serious warning for students and job aspirants. Authorities have urged students to verify the authenticity and recognition status of institutions before taking admission. Choosing an unverified institution could not only jeopardize careers but also expose individuals to criminal proceedings.

The investigation is still ongoing, with more arrests and dismissals expected in the coming weeks. The SOG has assured that strict legal action will be taken against all individuals and institutions involved in academic fraud and recruitment corruption.
